Service Providers Visa

Hassle-free visa processing for your travel needs.

Overview

The Service Providers Visa is designed for British nationals (and eligible citizens of Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Korea (Republic), and the United States of America) employed by businesses outside the EU. This visa authorizes employment in Germany for the purpose of fulfilling contractual obligations with a German client. Note that this visa (a D visa) requires you to take up residence in Germany. If you wish to provide services without taking up residence, you must apply for a Category C Schengen visa (limited to 90 days within 180 days).

Eligibility & Purpose:

  • Intended for service providers employed by non-EU companies who have a contractual relationship with a German client
  • Grants authorization for long-term residence and employment in Germany (more than 90 days)
  • Your employer can assist with the process by applying for pre-approval from the Federal Employment Agency
  • Some regulated professions (e.g., medical doctors, nurses, teachers, architects, auditors, tax advisors) require a formal license to practice in Germany; please consult the relevant recognition database if applicable

Visa-Free Travel Note:

  • British citizens (and eligible nationals from the listed countries) may apply for their residence permits at the local immigration office (“Ausländerbehörde”) upon arrival in Germany without a prior visa
  • You must register your new residence (“Anmeldung”) with the local authorities within 2 weeks of moving in and apply for your Electronic Residence Permit within the first 90 days
  • Employment or any economic activity may only commence once you have been issued a residence permit explicitly authorizing such activity

Your Visa, Our Priority – With our express appointment scheduling and expert guidance, your visa process is handled with ease.
