The Airport Transit Visa is required for certain nationals who must pass through a German airport while en route to another destination. Note that UK residents holding a valid UK Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) are exempt from this requirement. The visa is applicable only for transit purposes, and applicants must remain in the international transit area of the airport unless otherwise stated.

It is strongly recommended that applicants submit a complete set of documents as outlined below. All documents must be recent (not older than one month) and presented as originals along with photocopies.
